I am going analyse the front cover of a 2008 edition of NME music magazine. The largest part of the front cover is the picture of The Wombats and the second largest is the name of the band, this demonstrates that the most important thing for the magazine is the advertisement of the band. The three main colours of this front cover are red, yellow and black. Yellow and red are both very bright colours which will grab the audiences attention and get them to look at the magazine. The black font contrasts against the yellow background which leads people to read the information causing them to want to buy the magazine. This magazine cover had many sub-headers such as 'Why Britain's gone silly for the lords of the indie dancefloor' to attract the interest of the consumers. I think the target audience for this magazine would be males or females aged 15-25.
